My dear sweet friend. There are no words to describe my feelings for your loss. I know what you have been going through bc I went through it with Kay. I am sad but also happy. Sad for your separation at this time but know that he is with our Heavenly Father and completely whole again and you two will be reunited in the future. The both of you have been such a blessing and good friends for many years. I have cherishhed our longtime relationship although we were out of touch for a while. Numbers 6:24-26 keep popping up in my mind for you and the family with the loss of my very good friend a d brother in Christ Ray. May the love of Jesus Christ surround you and the family now and forever more as I know it will. Kathy and I have and always will be praying for you and family

Dear Lana,
I saw the obituary in the Sun Commercial and was glad that I read the paper that night. You were always just a positive person through all your pain and sadness. You were an inspiration to me and others. You LIVED your Christianity and I know that our Savior will comfort you at this time.
I don’t get on Facebook for weeks at a time but had to go to your page to see the comfort others are extending to you in the loss of your precious Ray. He was so brave during his illness and now he is pain free. I pray for you because it will be so hard for you to live without him.
I enjoyed so much the time you were Chair of CWC. You were an inspiration when I finally accepted the position. I still have all your papers in my attic. I am now area representative. We are still going strong. We have about 40–70 in attendance and 4–10 first timers. I know that we have changed lives. I think Karen Jordan was in CWC when you were there and she is a past chair. I don’t know if Donna Hinkle attended when you were here, but she is a past chair and very active in keeping the group going. You know that Sondra Clark has moved to Newburg and we miss her.
I will keep you in my prayers as you go through this difficult time. May your faith keep you going day by difficult day.
Blessings, Norma Jordan

Ray was an exceptional evangelist because of his amazing personal transparency. He was also a great friend. I know Ray is now at peace with the Lord. God bless Lana, all the family and others who knew and will miss Ray. Love, Jim Arruebarrena

Lana, I am so sorry about Ray. He was such a bright and shinning star to so many. I loved his compassion and quick wit. I know you will miss him very much. He fought the good fight of faith and I know he heard the words "well done good and faithful servant!"

Uncle Ray,
You were a beautiful soul and some of my fondest memories of my youth you were a part of. Whether it was birthdays, singing in church, helping me play my alto sax or your funny jokes, you always made me feel like family. It breaks my heart that you're now with our Lord in Heaven but you've left so many cherished memories behind and will be missed by many people's lives you've touched. I'll pray for your family and the strength they'll need to get through this very difficult time.

Love,
Stephanie

Pastor Ray was a special man. I still remember the day your family moved to Ottumwa Iowa as he lead a brand new church, New Hope. I remember how Lana had no voice at the time of the initial visit. Such fond memories of the times our families spent together. Lots of laughs, tears, and hugs. I love the song entitled Homesick. We are longing for our eternal home heaven. Can't wait until we can meet again. Hugs and love to all of you.

Dearest Telschows,

We are grieving with you and praying for you in your loss. We are also expressing our gratitude to God for Ray's life. What a wonderful legacy of Christ-centered living he leaves behind for the two men of God he raised. "Well done" is surely echoing in his ears.

Our love to you all,
Mike & Terri
