Wayne F McClure , 83, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away at 2:45 am on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Terre Haute Regional Hospital.
Wayne was born October 4, 1937, in Sullivan, Indiana to the late Harry Franklin and Ruth (Coleman) Chambers McClure. He married his first wife Mary Janet (Dutton) McClure, on February 3, 1957, and she passed away on December 25, 1987. On July 2, 1994, Wayne married Zella Mae (Price) McClure, who survives her husband.
Wayne served and was honorably discharged from the Unites States AirForce. He was employed by Prestolite as a payroll clerk, and later served as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. He was most recently employed by Yochum Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram as a dealer trades driver. He was an avid family man, and was an especially proud papa to his dog, Little Buddy. Also, Wayne and Zella loved to travel. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, as well as a former member of Westminister Presbyterian Church serving as its deacon and treasurer for twenty-eight years. In later years, he attended the Harvest Bible Chapel.
Survivors of Wayne McClure include: his wife, Zella Mae (Price) McClure: children, Melissa (Wes) Reynolds of Midland, Michigan: Michael (Marcia) McClure of Washington, Indiana: Tom Price of Brazil, Indiana: Ron (Debbie) Price of Robinson, Illinois: Jim (Joni) Price of Sandborn, Indiana: Yvonne (Doug) Rogers of Bicknell, Indiana.
Additionally, Wayne is survived by thirteen grandchildren: Wesley, Miriam, Joshua, Hope, and Lydia Reynolds: Mary Anna Arney: Matthew McClure: Amy Summers: Allison Clark: Hillary Patton; Kendall Shick: Mallory Rogers and James Price; and nine great grandchildren; Ariah and Alorah Arney:Brendan and Tyler Clark: Keaton Summers: Nolan and Nevin Patton: and, Karsyn and Zella Rose Shick.
Wayne was preceded in death by a half-brother, Earl McClure,
Akron, Ohio.
Services for Wayne F. McClure will be conducted at the Fredrick and Son McClure Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 10:00 am. The Reverends’Ryan Lowery and Zach Setser will officiate. He will be laid to rest in the Royal Oak Cemetery.
Visitation hours are: Monday, April 5, 2021 from 4:00-7:00 pm at the Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Vincennes Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society and the Vincennes Pet Port.
