Virginia D (Hamilton) Smith

Virginia D. Smith 85 of Vincennes went to her heavenly home on Monday, September 27, 2021. 

Virginia was born on January 10, 1936 in Vincennes to the late Clearance Hamilton and Rachael Parish Hamilton. 

Virginia owned and operated “Jenny’s Market”; she also avidly read her Bible and was a member of United Pentecostal Tabernacle. 

She is survived by; children, Robert “Bob” Smith of ILL, Tony Smith of Vincennes, Bryant Smith and his wife Susan of Vincennes, and Stephen Smith of Vincennes; and a brother, Jack Hamilton of Bruceville; 28 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by; a son, Mike Smith; 3 grandchildren; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers.

A graveside service will be held 12 p.m. on Friday October 1, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery. Online condolences may be left at www.fredrickandson.com. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel was honored to assist Virginia’s family with the arrangements.
