Terry J. Chambon, 87 of Bicknell, went to his heavenly home on Thursday, January 21, 2021.
Terry was born August 5, 1933 in Bicknell, IN to the late Louis and Jeanne (Julian) Chambon. Terry married the love of his life Evelyn Abrams who passed away on August 6, 2020.
Terry was a Barber for over 60 years; he also was a Navy Veteran and served as a cook during the Korean War. Terry coached youth baseball and was on the "Chain Gang" for 30 years for the North Knox football program. Terry loved fishing, bowling, cooking, especially spaghetti feeds for charity, Notre Dame football, IU basketball, the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears. He especially enjoyed attending his grandkids sporting events.
Terry was involved in numerous clubs throughout the community to include the Elks, French Club, Masonic Lodge, VFW, American Legion, and the Eagles.
Terry is survived by his children, Steve Purcell (Debbie) of UT, Susan Kenfield (Doug) of Gosport, Doug Chambon (Christy) of Newburgh, and Terri Vieck (Jeff) of Vincennes; one sister, Judy Russell Stewart (Rhea) of Shelbyville; 6 grandchildren, Bethany Kay, Hali Chambon, Logan Vieck, Taylore Fitzsimmons, Kelby Chambon, and Connor Vieck; and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Chambon
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes, Bicknell Chapel. Burial will be in Bicknell Memorial Gardens.
