Terrie Gognat Obituary

Terrie Kay Gognat 76, of Bruceville, passed away October 31, 2020 in Bruceville Indiana. Terrie was born August 28, 1944, in Vincennes Indiana, the Daughter of August Overton and Flora Jean (Grider) Like. She married Robert Francis Gognat on Saturday, December 23rd, 1967, in Lawrenceville Illinois. Terri worked as floral designer for Kliens Florist and later in life Ball of Oxford and Infields nursery in Ohio. Terri loved floral design, decorating homes, her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy, she loved watching them participate in sports and dance.
Terrie is survived by three children, Roger D. Roach of Bruceville, IN, Staci McGuyer (Dean) of Bruceville, IN, and Rob Gognat (Shannon) of Hamilton, OH; three grandchildren, Linsie Preuz (Chuck) of Westphalia, IN, Robert Jacob Gognat (Corene) of Hamilton, OH, and Logan Gognat of Hamilton, OH; four great-grandchildren, Brycen Gognat, Trace Gognat, Kaylee Gognat, and Molly McGuyer; two siblings, Richard "Rick" Like (Kathy) of Las Vegas, NV and Donya M. Thomas of Vincennes, IN; a her Brother in law, Joseph E. Gognat (Deb) of Cambridge, OH. She was preceded in death by Her Parents, Her Spouse Robert Francis Gognat, Sister Kristen Sue Bodart, 2 brother-in-laws John Bodart and Frank Thomas, 1 great grandchild Jacob R. Gognat and a nephew J. Scott Bodart. A funeral service will take place 1 P.M. Wednesday Nov 4, 2020 at Fredrick & Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Vincennes Chapel with Pastor Jeff Seger officiating. Friends and family may visit from 12 until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Vincennes. Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association or the Good Samaritan Hospice.
