Obituary
Shirley Ann Abrams 86, of Oaktown went to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
Shirley was born in Oaktown, In on February 22, 1936 to the late Forrest DeSchamp and Hilda Gibbs DeSchamp.
Shirley was a member of Emison United Methodist Church. She enjoyed; spending time with her family, gardening, and canning. She was employed as a QMA at Oak Village then after worked as a CNA at Good Samaritan Hospital from which she retired.
Those left to mourn the loss of Shirley are; children, Dan Abrams of Freelandville, Rick Abrams (Lisa) of Terre Haute, Mike Abrams (Leslie) of Vincennes, Theresa Brown (Jack) of Staunton,IN, and Greg Abrams (Pam) of Oaktown; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren; siblings, Bruce DeSchamp of Oaktown, Carolyn McCarter of Oaktown, Sharon Simpson (Don) of Oaktown, and David DeSchamp (Marsha) of Oakland City; and a brother-in-law, Jim Abrams of Terre Haute.
She was preceded in death by; her husband, Don Abrams; two sisters, Wanda Mae DeSchamp, and Mary Johnson; a brother, Jon DeSchamp, and a son-in-law, Terry Smith.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at Oaktown Christian Church, 103 School St. Oaktown, IN 47561. Burial will follow in Oaktown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Village Healthcare Center 200 4th St. Oaktown,IN 47561.
