Roger King Obituary

Roger King 87 of Freelandville, went to his heavenly home on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.

Roger was born in Bicknell, IN on June 6, 1935 to the late Almeda Mengedoht King and Orlie King.

Roger was a member of the United States Army and was stationed in Germany; he then went to work as an electrical engineer for Crane. Roger was the owner of Freelandville Electronics. He enjoyed spending time with his family, taking drives to look at his farms, and was an avid Purdue fan. Roger was a member of Freelandville United Methodist Church.

Those left to mourn the loss of Roger are; his loving wife whom he married on April 16, 1955 in Freelandville, Sharon King; children, Craig King (Pam) of Plainfield, and Tonjia Mason of Oaktown; a brother, Nelson King (Beth) of Atlanta, GA.; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; his parents, a daughter, Angie Sanders, and a son-in-law, Jackie Mason.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. with Military Funeral Honors, and visitation from 10:30 until time of service, all held at Freelandville Memorial Cemetery.
