Rodney (Rod) L Lafferty

Rodney “Rod” L. Lafferty 69, of Bicknell, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2020 while at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Rod was born November 13, 1950 in Vincennes, IN to the late Alva Lafferty and Maxine (Gremore) Lafferty. He was wed tohis wife, Sandra L. (Russell) Lafferty in Vincennes on Friday, July 26, 1968 and she survives.

Rod was primarily a farmer for Lafferty Farms, and also worked for Robinson Refinery doing scaffolding. He was an avid golfer who loved being outdoors; however, most of all he enjoyed being with his family. He was a member of the Bicknell Country Club, French Club, and the Lawrenceville Moose Lodge. 

Rod leaves behind; his loving wife of nearly 52 years, Sandra Lafferty; children, Christopher Lafferty (Mindy), of Bicknell, Kerry Lafferty of Bicknell, Shannon McCrary (Jamie) of Vincennes, Andrea Wright of Lafayette, and Shelley Fossmeyerof Vincennes; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Mark Lafferty (Peggy) of Monroe City, and Pama Limbach(Jon) of Vincennes. 

Private family services will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2020 due to (COVID-19) at Royal Oak Cemetery with Pastor Glenn Archer officiating. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Bruceville Chapel is honored to assist with arrangements and would like to ask that the public leave the family an online condolence at www.fredrickandson.com. Florist may make deliveries to the funeral home on Thursday morning.
