Robert Lee Wanke

Robert Lee Wanke Sr. 56 of Vincennes, passed away on April 12, 2023.

He was born in Vincennes, Indiana on May 25, 1966.

Robert met the love of his life, Lynn Wanke, at only fifteen years old and they were married on September 7, 1985 and spent forty-one years together.

Robert was devoted to his family as they were his entire world. He enjoyed traveling, working on projects for his family, and working in his garden. He was a hardworking man who owned his own roofing business and he also worked construction. Robert was a self proclaimed “asshole” but was truly an amazing man who touched many lives, leaving an imprint of love and he will be forever missed.

Those left to mourn the loss of Robert are; his beloved wife, Lynn Wanke; children, Robert Wanke Jr (Misty), Patrick Wanke (Chelsea), Christopher Wanke (Erica), Kaitlynn Wanke, Zachary Wanke, and Jeremy Wanke; nine grandchildren, Cayden, Rhylee Parker, Ella, Maddox, Trinity, Hudson, and Quentin and Meredith which he raised the last two and a half years; and a niece, Jackie Huffman; bonus daughter, Crystal Oxley, and a bonus son, Richard Asher.

The family will announce a farewell gathering at a later date, and as Robert would say, “kiss my ass, I’m out.”
