Neal Emery Catt

Neal Emery Catt, 78, passed away on January 9th, 2022 in his home with his wife by his side.
He was born on December 10th, 1943 at home to John and Fern (Marchino) Catt. Neal was a Science Professor at Vincennes University for 32 years. After graduating from Decker High school in 1961, Neal earned his Bachelors Degree from Oakland City College and his Masters Degree from Indiana State University. During college he was the Youth County Agent for Vigo Co.
Neal was a kind and gentle soul who enjoyed farming, playing his guitar, jigsaw puzzles and later in life, attending auctions to procure and recycle scrap metals.
He was a member of the Hoosier Harmonizers, played baseball, coached women’s softball, was a loyal Cardinals baseball fan, and was an ace bowler of a 299 game.
Surviving Neal are his wife of 35 years Jane (Zeabart) Catt, son and best buddy, Terry Zeabart (Gina), daughters Mary Wagoner and Katie Cawood (Clint). He was a proud grandfather of Makenzie, Madison, Caylin and Avery Wagoner, Holden Cawood, Jackson Zeabart, Mackenzie and Macy Gentry and beloved godchild and niece Amy Janese Catt. Loving siblings John Catt of Newburgh, Paul Catt (Linda) of Newburgh, Jerry Catt (Sarah) of Darmstaudt, In and Susie Johnson (Richard) of Columbus, In.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Fern Catt.
There will be a an Open House Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Vincennes chapel.
