Lorraine Russell Obituary

Lorraine E. Russell passed from this life on November 23, 2021. Lorraine was born on June 1, 1927 in Detroit Michigan to Daniel and Golda Saucerman. Lorraine was raised in Chicago, Il, where she graduated from Senn High School. She met her husband of 67 years when she visited relatives in Bicknell during summers spent there. Lorraine worked as a secretary for Nugent’s Dairy, Gossard’s, and Good Samaritan Hospital, working for the dietician, where she retired. 

In 2016, she moved to Fox Ridge assisted living. She enjoyed her time there and considered them her second family. 

Lorraine was a member of the First Christian Church in Bicknell.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert in 2014, her parents, and a brother Claude Canada.  She is survived by a daughter Claudia (Kent) Bouchie of Bicknell In, niece Christina (Charlie) Ryker of Indianapolis In, and a nephew Robert (Marie) Russell of Mt Vernon Wa.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society or the Salvation Army.  

A private service will be held. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.fredrickandson.com. Arrangements were entrusted to the Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Bicknell Chapel.
