Joyce M (Boyd) Hill

Joyce (Boyd) Hill 85, of Bruceville went to her heavenly home on February 6, 2022.

She was born June 8, 1936 in Bruceville, daughter to the late Earl and Thelma Boyd.

She graduated from Bruceville High School in 1954 and was married on February 20, 1955, to the love of her life Robert “Mick” Hill. She was a devoted member of Bruceville Christian Church and co-owner with her husband of CM Hill Company (Hills Lucky Dollar) for over forty years. She also worked at GSH for twenty years as a CNA. 

She is survived by her son, Gordon Hill of Bruceville; granddaughter, Jennifer Hill of St. Louis; sister-in-law, Linda Boyd of Bruceville;  two nieces Andrea (Jeff) Tilly, Dr. Renee (Joe) Dilley, and a nephew Dustin (Missy) Boyd; great nieces and nephews, Lexy and Wesley Boyd, Christina and Sydnie Smith, Graham and Cameron Tilly, Emily, Blake, and Sam Goodwin, and Kaleb Dilley. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Thelma Boyd; husband, Robert “Mick” Hill; son, Mike Hill; and brother, Jim Boyd.

The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M.  Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Bruceville Christian Church. A service, officiated by  pastors Jarrod Chattin and Glen Turner,  will immediately follow with burial in the Bruceville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Bruceville Christian Church or to the Bruceville United Methodist Church.
