James (Jim) Parkhill Obituary

James L. “Jim” Parkhill 78, of Bicknell, passed away on November 21, 2021.

Jim was born in Dahlgren, Ill on August 12, 1943 to the late Willie W. Parkhill and Jannie M. Hart Parkhill.

Jim was a Dahlgren High School graduate who retired from Duke Energy of Edwardsport. He served his country proudly during Vietnam; serving two years in the United States Army and ten in the United States Navy. When Jim had free time he enjoyed; horseback riding, carpentry, and spending time with his family and friends.

Jim is survived by; his loving wife, Cynthia Parkhill of Bicknell; children, Debbie Phillips of Mt. Vernon, IL., Pam Ellis (Kelly) of Belle Rive, IL, and a step-son, John Vendes of Bicknell; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Retha Rawls (Tom) of Dahlgren; brother David (Joyce) Parkhill of Mt Vernon I’ll; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by; his parents; and a sister, Mary Cross of Dahlgren, IL.
