Danny Ray Clayton, 72, of Ellettsville, passed away November 12, 2020 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Danny was born April 8, 1948, in Bloomington Indiana, the Son of Floyd Ray and Lottie Vivian (Krebbs) Clayton. He worked as a Quality Control Engineer for Johnson Controls and was an assistant plant manager for Pruett Manufacturing. Danny enjoyed woodworking, Fishing, Hunting, Camping, and Traveling, he was a member Elks Lodge and the Goldwing Association, He was the Justice of the peace in Bicknell from 1976 to 1980, and a firefighter for over 25 years and was also a master firefighter and instructor.
Danny is survived by two children, Monica Clayton of Edwardsport, IN and Scott Clayton of Lexington, IN; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert "Bob" Clayton and Jerry Clayton. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lottie Vivian and Floyd Ray Clayton and one sister, Sharon Clayton. A memorial service to honor Danny's life will be held 2 P.M. Saturday December 12, 2020 at the Mariah Creek Church 9366 E. Oaktown Road, Oaktown In 47561.
