Charles Anderson Hunt

Charles Anderson Hunt, 64, of Edwardsport went to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 28, 2022. Charlie was born on November 18, 1957,  to the late Helen Anderson Hunt and Charles Hunt, Jr. 

Charlie was retired from the maintenance department at North Knox and worked for Hammelman Farms. Charlie enjoyed hunting quail and pheasant, and camping. Charlie was a very hard worker and never knew a stranger.  His family and friends were the most important thing in his life, and he was a very proud father and granddad. Charlie was a member of the Edwardsport Christian Church and also attended Salem United Church of Christ; he was an IHSAA basketball referee, member of the Bruceville Rod and Gun Club, French Club, Bicknell Elks Club, Volunteer Fire fighter and member of the IVFA, Edwardsport Town Council, and softball coach.

Charlie is survived by his daughter, Whitney Hunt of Fort Branch; a grandson, Zayne Aznar; siblings: Ruth A. Hunt of Edwardsport, Sara Becher of Henryville, and Leah Hamilton (Scot) of Evansville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Mike Becher. Visitation will be held at the Salem United Church of Christ in Westphalia from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, with a service following on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. with a second visitation from 10:00 A.M until the time of service. Burial will be in the Edwardsport IOOF Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a college tuition fund for his grandson, Zayne Aznar checks may be made payable directly to Zayne.
