Barbara “Bobbie” Miles Obituary

Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Miles, beloved mother,
grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at
the age of 62 on April 16, 2024, in Washington,
Indiana. Born on December 12, 1961, in Kansas
City, Missouri, to the late Clara Jane Lagle Canida
and Mervin Lee Canida, Bobbie was a bright light
who brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.
A proud alumna of South Knox High School, Bobbie
devoted herself to a career in the service industry
and equally cherished her role as a homemaker.
She was a constant presence in the lives of her
family members, forever ready to lend a hand or
share a moment of joy. Her radiant spirit is survived
by her loving daughter, Rosalyn N. Case of
Newburgh, IN, as well as her adored grandchildren,
Davin P. Henderson and Drake T. Henderson. Her
memories will be tenderly preserved by her siblings,
James K. Miles of Washington, IN, and Mechelle L.
 Miles of New Albany, OH.
An avid lover of the natural world, Bobbie found
solace and wonder in the outdoors, particularly the
woods of Knox County. Her green thumb was
evident in her love for plants, always eager to
nurture a new vine or leaf. A storyteller at heart,
Bobbie's recounting of tales was met with her

signature loud, heartfelt laugh, which was
 undeniably contagious.
Above all, Bobbie loved fiercely and without
reservation. Her profound warmth and humor
touched countless lives, leaving behind a legacy of
love and laughter. Described by friends and family
as loving and funny, Bobbie's presence will be
deeply missed, but her spirit will live on through the
 many hearts she touched.
