Alma Lee (Collins) Smith

Alma Lee Smith, 75, of Bicknell, passed away September 07, 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.  Alma was born  July 23, 1945 in Big Stone Gap Virginia, the Daughter of Howard and Beatrice May "Hollman" Collins. Alma married Bill F. Smith on  November 29th, 1960, in Jonesville Virginia and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1983, she later met Charles Ray Howell and he became her companion until his death.   She worked as cook for Crestview Nursing Home until her retirement. Alma Enjoyed Sewing, Crocheting, working on her landscaping, spending time with her great grandchildren and her dog Roscoe. Alma would attended services at the Bicknell Nazarene Church.  
Alma is survived by two children, Billy F. Smith of Bicknell, IN and Yulanda Tankersley (Jon) of Bicknell, IN; six grandchildren Rachelle Trabant (Daniel), Clay Tankersley (Elizabeth), Amanda Smith, Billy Smith (Lexus), Austin Hernandez, Collene Patten (George); six great-grandchildren; Will Trabant, Amelia Trabant, Hudson Tankersley, Blair Tankersley, Willow Bruchman, Adaline Smith; two siblings, Howard Ray Collins of Bicknell, IN and Juanita Adams of Cincinnati, OH.  She was preceded in death by her spouse Bill F. Smith and sister-in-law Marguerite Collins; her parents, Howard and Beatrice May "Hollman" Collins; and her companion, Charles Ray Howell.  A Funeral  will take place on 2 P.M. Friday Sept 11, 2020  at the Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Bicknell Chapel  with Pastor Jon McKinnon  officiating. Friends and family may visit from noon  until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest at Bicknell Memorial Gardens. Online Condolences my be left for the family at www.fredrickandson.com.
