Steven R Koenig

Steven R. Koenig 72, of Freelandville, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020. 

He was born in Linton, IN on September 22, 1947 to the late Max and Margaret Koenig.

Steven was employed at Crane Naval Base and was Vice President of the Union of his department. 

He served his country proudly in the United States Army and was in the Vietnam War. Steven enjoyed his family and grandchildren in his free time. 

Steven is survived by; his loving wife, Diana Jean Koenig; children, Melissa Koenig of Washington; Steven G. Koenig of Freelandville, Amber Roark (Jason) of Sandborn, Max Koenig of Freelandville and Jason Koenig of Freelandville; many grandchildren; siblings, Susan McMillen, John Koenig (Marilyn), Alice McDaniel (James); Joe Cunningham; and Mark Patterson; foster siblings, Ralph Alford, Shenna Cobb, Dana Rybicki.

He was preceded in death by; his parents; two brothers; and one foster brother, Leslie Patterson.

There will be a funeral service on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son McClure-UttFuneral Home, Bicknell Chapel, with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery. You may leave an online condolence at fredrickandson.com.
