Robert Wayne Thompson

Robert Wayne Thompson 70, of Bicknell, passed away on, August 6, 2019 at Golden Living Center, Petersburg.  He was born on December 8, 1948, in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Carl R. and Christina S. (Bell) Thompson.  He married Peggy Anderson on June 19, 2005 and she preceded him in death in 2015.

Robert honorably served his country during the Vietnam conflict and was a disabled Vet. He was a member of the V.F.W. , lifetime member of the Bicknell United Methodist Church, the D.A.V. and the Vincennes American Legion.  

He is survived by;  his dog Lady; a brother;  Alex(Jackie) Thompson of Bicknell; sisters Mary Page of Bicknell and Tina(Jeff) Chambers of Bicknell. Several nieces and nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

Along with his wife, his parents; a sister Carolyn, brother-in-law Donald Page and a great nephew Bryce Hatfield preceded Robert in death.

Funeral services will be on Friday August 9, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Homes Bicknell Chapel 109 E. 6th St. Bicknell, Indiana 47512 with pastor John McKinnon presiding. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10 until the time of service at the funeral home.  Robert will be laid to rest with Military honors at Bicknell memorial Cemetery.
