Richard Kramer

Richard “Dick” Lawrence Kramer Jr., 63, Vincennes, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Richard was born March 23, 1955, in Vincennes, the son of Richard “Pooch” Sr. and Ola (Hunckler) Kramer. He married Victoria Vieck on September 24, 2005. To his wife, he was a “Renaissance Man”. He dreamed of living in the country and rebuilding The Kramer Homestead, which he did. He was a paving equipment and demo specialist at Roadtec. Richard excelled at his work. He loved his journey working at Roadtec that allowed him to share his knowledge that he garnered over the years. He was also a world wide speaker, traveling to Australia, Germany and Russia were the highlights of his experience. He enjoyed racing, vintage hot rods, deer hunting, flying, traveling and spending time with his family. You could always find him building something and tinkering around in his shop.
Richard is survived by his wife, Victoria Kramer of Vincennes; children, Richard “Rich” III (Tonya) Kramer of Newburgh and Porsche (Shawn) Cleghorn of Vincennes; grandchildren, Clayton, Cameron and Cadin Kramer, Sophia and Sterling Cleghorn; siblings, Keith (Janine) Kramer of Bicknell, Judy Kramer of Vincennes, Jo (Francis) Balthus of Vincennes and Allan (Sandy) McGowan of Vincennes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Ola Kramer; uncle and godfather, Wilfred Kramer; and nephew, Chad Balthus.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Deacon Earl Ruppel officiating at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel,
313 Church St. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM also at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at St. Thomas Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society. Online condolences may be made at www.fredrickandson.com.
