Patricia S. (Zeabart) Hess

Patricia S. “Patty” Zeabart Hess, 85, went to her heavenly home with her loving family by her side on October 4, 2019.

Patty was born October 31, 1933, the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret (Rubrecht) Zeabart. Patty was a graduate of Saint Rose Academy where she was the secretary of her senior class of 1952. Patty retired as the jewelry department manager from K-Mart. 

Patty married Paul J. Hess on January 12, 1957 and they spent 60 blissful years together until his death on November 1, 2017.She was a member of the Moose, and St. Frances Xavier Catholic Parishes. Patty also enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, and loved spending time with her beloved family.

She is survived by; children, David Hess (Kim) of Brookville, IN., Paula Rowe of North Bend, OH., Larry Hess (Amy) of Middletown, OH., and Jennifer Shaw (Richard) of Vincennes; daughter in law, Tina Adams of Vincennes; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by; one son, Mark Steven Hess; infant granddaughter, Elizabeth Rowe; eleven brothers and sisters, Lillian Zeabart, Frances Luking, Paul Zeabart, Norbert Zeabart, Louis Zeabart, Kathryn Snyder, Vivian Schnuck, Donna Zeabart, Richard Zeabart, Robert Zeabart, William Zeabart. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home, Vincennes Chapel, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Saint John’s Catholic Church.
