Luella "Lou" Mae Hise

Luella “Lou”Mae Archer Hise, 78, Vincennes, formerly of Bicknell, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Luella was born August 26, 1939, in Sullivan County, the daughter of Charles and Thelma (Wimberly) McKee. She was a homemaker and a nurses aid at Moore’s Nursing Home.

Luella is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Dale) Dowden of Vincennes; son, Harvey “Ron” (Tammy) Archer of Bicknell; grandchildren, Amy (Andrew) McNeece of Vincennes, Adam Siewers of Vincennes and Holly Archer of Greenwood; great-granddaughter, Chloe McNeece; brothers, Roger McKee of Graysville, IN and Jim (Debbie) McKee of Graysville, IN;  sisters, Barb Fellows of Jackson, MI, Pauline (Ben) Snyder of Galien, MI, Nancy (Roger) Blackwell of Sandborn, Janice (Jim) Schultz of Seatlle, WA, Beverly McKee of Bicknell, Joyce Lingle of Sullivan and Chris (Jeff) Morlock of Evansville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouses, Litt Archer and Harold Hise; brothers, Terry McKee and Bill Wimberly; sisters, Jesse Woodward, Bertie Montgomery and Mary Pool.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at 7:00PM with Pastor Glenn Archer and Rev. Harley Archer. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel. She will be laid to rest at Salem Cemetery at a later date.
