Jackie Cofer “Jack” Winemiller, 78, Bruceville, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at The New Willow Manor. Jack was born July 20, 1940, in Knox county, the son of Mearle J. and Martha (Cofer) Winemiller. He was a 1958 graduate from Antigo, Wisconsin. He went on to wed Mary Jo Hatton on October 1, 1960. Jack worked at Vincennes Steel for over 40 years. He was a member of the Bicknell French Club and the Vincennes Elks. He loved to travel the country, looking at cattle and going to cattle shows. He also enjoyed mentoring young cattle showmen.
Jack is survived by his sons, J.B. (Paula) Winemiller of Vincennes and Brad (Cindy) Winemiller of Rehoboth, DE; grandchildren, Kayla and Madison Winemiller and James Sampson; brother, Terry Winemiller of Wyoming; and sister-in-law, Darla (Philip) Haynes of Vincennes.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Mary Jo (Hatton) Winemiller.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Bruceville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until time of services at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bruceville Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County 4H Cattle Barn.
