Emil Raymond Telschow Jr.

Emil Raymond Telschow Jr., 62, of Metairie, LA passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Gulfport Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS. Ray was born February 11, 1955, in Houston, TX. He was the oldest  son of  Emil R. Telschow Sr. and Carol (Mikeska) Telschow. He married Lana Turner on April 5th, 1973.  Ray earned degrees from Southwestern Theological Seminary (Fort Worth) and served as Pastor in Ottumwa, IA.  He was Asst. Pastor of Followers of Christ Baptist Church in Carlisle, IN and served as Asst. Pastor in New Orleans, LA. 
Ray is survived by his parents; Emil Raymond Sr.  and Carol Telschow; his wife, Lana; children, Emil Raymond (Kaelin) Telschow III of Freelandville, Terry (Katie) Telschow of Destrehan, LA and four grandchildren; Merida, Rhett, Ray IV, Lilly; sisters, Chris (Gary) Murphy of Biloxi, MS, Donna (Rod) McCrory of Shawnee, OK; Era (Alan) Hill of Haltom City, TX, Tammy (Gary) Grant of Cowley, WY; brother, Frank (Irma) Telschow of Haltom City, TX. He was a Marine Mechanic and Manager of a Roofing Company In Indiana and New Orleans, LA.  
Among Ray's many interests were Piloting small aircraft, playing the Guitar, electronics and photography. He was a man of many passions, but by far his greatest passion was his Lord Jesus Christ. 
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 4:00 PM at the Followers of Christ Baptist Church in Carlisle. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the church. He will be laid to rest at Morris Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.fredrickandson.com.
