Cathleen Lynn Young

Cathleen Lynn “Cathy” Young, 62, Evansville, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2017 at her daughter’s residence from natural causes. Cathy was born July 9, 1955, in Vincennes, the daughter of Hilbert “Red” Sylvan and Mary Evelyn (Wieling) Cooper. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and worked as a waitress.
Cathy is survived by her son, Jonathan “Jon” Young of Evansville; daughter, Heather Young of Evansville; grandchildren, Eli Kemp, Aryan Young, Emerald Morgan, Rod Pyke, Breanna Pyke, and Isaac Pyke; great-grandchild, Rowan Kemp; sister, Cindy (Mike) Adams of Boonville; and childhood best friend, Mary Lou Ray of Vincennes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; and two nephews.
