Sharon Wadsworth Obituary

Sharon Rose (Rosie) Wadsworth 74 died Friday March 8 at 9:38pm at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh Indiana.

She was born on June 4, 1949 in Indianapolis, Indiana to William Paul and Gladys (York) Johnson. Both precede her in death.

She was married to Harold (Rick) Wadsworth on February 15, 1986 and he preceded her in death on April 10, 2002.  She is also preceded in death by her long term partner Larry Ingram who passed on November 27, 2021.

She was a mother, homemaker, and compassionate animal lover who never knew a stray.  She was of the Methodist faith and attended Maysville United Methodist Church in Washington, Indiana.

Survivors include one daughter Christina (Sean) Wolak of Owensville Indiana, two sons Jamez Roberts of Bedford and Ray (Christina) Roberts of Indianapolis.  

Three step sons, Wayne (Angie)  Wadsworth of Celina, Ohio, Harold (Ricky or Tank) Wadsworth ll who preceded her in death and Jeffrey Roberts of Bloomington.  One step daughter Wanda Griffey of New Castle.

Several grand and great grandkids and one brother Donald (Bud) Johnson of French Lick.  

Her favorite hobbies included arts and crafts with her granddaughter Regan, needlepoint, plastic canvas, and watching old westerns on television.  She will be missed. “I’ve got this!!”

There will be a service on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at 12:00 PM at Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home, 308 E. Walnut St. Washington, IN 47501. Entombment will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens. The family welcomes fond memories and online condolences to be left at www.gillsince1872.com. Fredrick and Son-Gill Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with Rosie’s arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Daviess County Friends of Animals,  213 South 200 West Washington, Indiana 47501.
