Virginia West Bogle

Virginia (Corne) West Bogle, 89, Bicknell, passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the Freelandville Community Home. Virginia was born March 3, 1929, in Knox County, the daughter of William Leroy and Glenna Ellen (Randall) Corne. She was a telephone operator for the Indiana Telephone Corporation and later employed by Indiana Bell; also working at the Bicknell Red and White and IGA. She was a member of the Bicknell First Christian Church.
Virginia is survived by her children, John “Randy” (Linda) West of Alexander City, AL, Rita (Jack) Lynn of Bicknell, Richard “Rick” (Brenda) West of Bicknell, Rebecca “Becky” (Max) Nickless of Bicknell, Robert “Rob” (Tina) West of Vincennes and Kathy (John) Junkin of Wheatland; sister, Frances Hancher of Terre Haute; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Patricia (Robert) Ashley of Oaktown; and twenty-two grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Richard Clay West on August 25, 1981; second husband, John "Jack" Morris Bogle on August 28, 1994; five brothers; and one sister.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Matt Hoffman officiating at Morris Chapel Cemetery. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Bicknell Chapel assisted the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be to Good Samaritan Hospice.
