Please except our deepest sympathy. Joe and Jerry were such a big part of our childhood memories. Our dad DonCrouse Sr sold the station to Joe and Jerry and our grandparents use to live right behind the station the Carmichaels and we spent a lot of time going back and forth getting pops and such . Joe Bunte Family
I was sorry to hear of Joe's passing, but I realize that he had not had good years late in life. I am 78 and not far behind him. I remember with joy the great years I spent hanging out at the Sinclair station in Bruceville with Joe, Jerry and David. Not only was it a good place to get auto work done, but it was a place where us young guys could hang out. I recall making many trips after the station closed to go get coffee at Roblings, Emison, Bicknell, or Wheatland. I recall how excited I and other young guys were when he and Jerry got those twin blue Chevys. The station was our social connection in the day. I remember Shirley bringing Randy to the station when he was just a toddler. Anyone was always made welcome to just stop in and hang out a while. I know you will all miss him, but probably the Joe Bunte we all knew actually left us years ago. May the Lord give you all comfort in the days ahead.
