Lyndon Bernard “L.B.” Johnson, 53, Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital. Lyndon was born October 14, 1964, in Vincennes, the son of Robert Lee Johnson and Bernice Louise (Hartmann) Montgomery. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1984, where he was active in football and wrestling. He was a senior mail handler for the United States Postal Service in Terre Haute for 28 years. He served in the United States Marines, stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina from 1984 to 1988. He enjoyed model trains and his Indian motorcycle. If you were a friend of Lyndon’s, you had a faithful friend for life. At age 53, he was still a kid at heart.
L.B. is survived by his mother, Bernice Louise “Dee” Montgomery of Vincennes; sister, Deborah (Mark) Dickerson of Vincennes; brother, Robert (Janice) Johnson of Jasonville, IN; nephews, Preston (Jessica) Johnson of Monroe City and Eric Johnson of Indianapolis; niece, Heather Kay of St. Louis; and his dogs, Betty and Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Lee Johnson; sister, Brenda Johnson; and nephew, Andrew Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. with Pastor Steve Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 29, 2017 also at the funeral home from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. He will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery.
