Judith Ann Halter

Judy A. Halter, 78, Vincennes, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. Judy was born June 14, 1939, in Vincennes, the daughter of Walter and Pauline (Horsting) Junod. She married Francis Lawrence Halter on November 9, 1958. She was a secretary at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Early in her career, she was employed at the Knox County ASC office and also worked for Organ Florist for several years. She loved her family and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Judy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Francis; daughters, Lisa (Charles) Brown of Heltonville, IN and Jamie (Bill) Kroeger of Vincennes; son, Leon (Robin) Halter of Mt. Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Jarren (Penny) Brown, Shaylene Brown, Emily Brown, Elli Brown, Evan Brown, Danica Kroeger, Tyler (Zander) Kroeger of Vincennes, Dan (Gabby) Ludwig, Sam (Kayla) Ludwig and Benjamin Halter; eleven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Myra Kay Fish of Springville, IN and Beverly (Paul) Emmons of Vincennes.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Mary Beth Junod.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Dave Fleck officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St.. She will be laid to rest at St. Thomas Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Education Foundation or Good Samaritan Hospice.
