Charles Allen Robbins

Charles Allen Robbins, 84, Vincennes, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. Charles was born July 19, 1933, in Vincennes, the son of Cecil J. And Mildred (Bray) Robbins. He was on the Vincennes Police Department from 1956-1962. He retired as a Marine, serving in the Korean War as a Corpman and did medical help in the battle zone. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and performed over 4000 military funerals over 40 years.

Charles is survived by his children, Rick A. Robbins and Lisa K. (Robbins) Carpenter; and grandchildren, Crystal Robbins, Justin Robbins, David Robbins, Brandon Carpenter, Kathryn Sanders, Kyle Robbins,  Richelle (Robbins) Fast and Michael Robbins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Charlotte K. (Stremming) Robbins; and son, Scott M. Robbins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery. Fredrick and Son McClure-Utt Funeral Home Vincennes Chapel, 313 Church St. assisted the family with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.fredrickandson.com.
