Very sorry to hear about Allen. He was one of the younger kids in our neighborhood when I grew up. I saw him recently in the Dollar Store and we had a nice talk. He mentioned a time that I had stopped and given him a ride when he was having car trouble over by Odon. I had forgotten about it until he mentioned it. We talked about some memories of the old days in the neighborhood. Anytime we ran into one another, I knew we would talk for a good while and leave one another smiling. I never dreamed that encounter at the Dollar Store would be the last time I saw him. Life is too short.
