In 1975, Fredrick Funeral Home Inc, bought out the existing funeral home where it is located today. Patrick Fredrick has owned and operated his business locally since 1975 with the help of his family. In 2001, his son Matthew joined the firm and the name was later changed to Fredrick and Son Funeral Home. In the early part of 2005 Matthew went to work for the McClure-Utt Funeral Homes to help out Ralph McClure and Gordon Utt, as well as helping his father. After a few years the Fredrick’s (Matt and Pat) were presented with a chance to purchase the McClure-Utt Funeral Homes making them once again locally owned and operated. With all four locations they hope to better serve Knox County Indiana and hope that people will help support them in keeping a family owned funeral home in their community.
